What to Expect
Maternity sessions are thoughtfully guided and focused on documenting your pregnancy in a natural and comfortable way. I’ll gently guide you throughout the session so you always know what to do, while still leaving space for genuine moments and connection.
Before your session, I’ll help with planning details like location and wardrobe. You’ll also have access to my client closet and styling guide to make preparing simple.
Outdoor Maternity Sessions
Outdoor sessions take place during the soft evening light at natural locations around Boise and the Treasure Valley, creating beautiful light and space for relaxed interaction.
Studio Maternity Sessions
Studio sessions take place in my Boise studio, filled with soft natural light and neutral textures. The space includes both a lifestyle area for relaxed interaction and a traditional setting for classic portraits.
In-Home Maternity Sessions
In-home sessions take place in the comfort of your home, creating a calm and personal environment while documenting the anticipation before baby arrives.
Client Closet
A curated client wardrobe is available for expecting mothers, featuring simple, timeless dresses designed to photograph beautifully. You’re also welcome to bring your own outfits.
Most maternity sessions take place between 28–34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully visible while you’re still comfortable during the session.
Many families also choose to document both maternity and newborn sessions to capture the full journey into parenthood. A bundled maternity and newborn option is available for families who would like to plan both sessions together.

The ideal time to schedule your maternity session is between 28-34 weeks of pregnancy when your baby bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable enough to pose. We recommend booking 6-8 weeks in advance to ensure availability.
Yes! Many families choose to book both at once, which guarantees your spot on my calendar and allows us to plan for a cohesive look between the two sessions.
Yes! Partners and older siblings are welcome to join the session. Maternity photos are a beautiful way to document your growing family and celebrate this exciting time together.
Sessions can take place in our lovely studio located in Boise, Idaho, Oudoors or in your home.
Maternity sessions typically last 60-90 minutes, depending on the location and your preferences. We take our time to make sure you feel relaxed and comfortable while capturing the perfect moments.
I offer wardrobe guidance and have a client closet filled with beautiful gowns for you to wear during your session. Soft, flowing fabrics and neutral or pastel colors work wonderfully, but feel free to bring your own outfits if you have something special in mind.
Yes! Many moms like to switch between two looks—something soft and romantic, and something a bit more casual.
I recommend scheduling maternity sessions early enough in your pregnancy (ideally 28–34 weeks) so we’re less likely to miss the window. If your baby arrives before your session takes place, your payment will be credited toward a future session.
Yes, 20 Digital Images, chosen by you, are included in all Maternity Sessions! Additional digital images and printed items can be purchased after viewing your proofing gallery if desired. Digital Images are delivered via the online gallery and can be instantly downloaded.
I can share recommendations for local artists if you’d like professional hair and makeup before your session.
Yes, every image you choose receives fine editing. This means careful attention to detail—softening skin, reducing distractions, and enhancing colors—while keeping the look natural and timeless.
