What to Expect
Milestone sessions are a simple and beautiful way to document your child during meaningful stages of growth. These sessions are child-only and can be scheduled at any age, though they are most commonly booked during the first year when little ones are changing so quickly.
Sessions take place in my Boise studio using soft natural light and simple, neutral setups designed to keep the focus on your child. A small collection of timeless props and clean backdrops are available, allowing us to create a variety of classic images while keeping the overall look simple and natural.
A selection of baby and toddler outfits is also available in the studio, carefully chosen to photograph beautifully with the neutral tones used during sessions. You’re always welcome to bring something special from home as well.
Sessions are child-led and move at a gentle pace, allowing time for your little one to warm up, explore, and show their personality while I guide the session.
Milestone sessions are especially popular for stages like sitting, crawling, standing, or early walking, but they can also be scheduled anytime to celebrate a special season of growth.

Milestone Session FAQ
Milestone sessions are typically scheduled at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, but you can book at any stage that feels significant. We recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure availability. We also offer Milestone Session Bundles that allow you to pre-schedule all your baby’s milestone sessions together for added convenience.
I offer styling guidance and have a selection of adorable outfits in my client closet. You’re welcome to bring your own outfits, too, especially if you want something personalized. Soft, simple clothing in neutral tones or pastel colors works well.
Sessions can take place in our lovely studio located in Boise, Idaho. Outdoor sessions are available in the summer.
Milestone sessions are relaxed and baby-led, typically lasting 45 minutes depending on your baby’s mood and pace. There’s no rush—we take the time to capture the best moments.
I provide simple and timeless props and backdrops for the session but feel free to bring any special items that are meaningful to you and your baby.
Milestone sessions are designed for babies and children only. If interested in family photos, a family session with a focus on your childs milestone is recommened.
To ensure a smooth session, it’s helpful to schedule the session during your baby’s happiest time of day—ideally after a nap and a feeding. Bring a few of their favorite toys or comfort items to help them feel relaxed and at ease.
Yes, 15 Digital Images, chosen by you, are included in all Milestone Sessions! Additional digital images and printed items can be purchased after viewing your proofing gallery if desired. Digital Images are delivered via the online gallery and instant download.
Absolutely! You’ll have the option to order professional-quality prints, albums, and other keepsakes directly from your online gallery, ensuring your memories are beautifully preserved.
